Name: Ian Aherne

Role: Assistant Producer

How long have you been involved with Gang Show: Wow seems a long time when I write it down…I joined the cast in 1989 and performed in the next 11 shows. I joined the production team in 2000 and 2010 was my first show not performing. I make this a massive 71% of my life…aaarrrrggghhhh!

How are you involved in Scouting: I have been through Beavers (24th), Cubs (24th), Scouts (Air Scouts), Venture Scouts (Oakley) and was an Assistant Scout Leader before becoming the Cub Scout Leader at 4th Basingstoke in Winklebury.

What are your aims for the show: Simple…….to produce the best show we can possibly imagine!

What's the best thing about being involved with the show: For me it was and still is about having fun and making new friends.

What other interests do you have outside of Gang Show: Other than Scouting I am a keen badminton player (Basingstoke league Men's and Mixed) as well as producing the Basingstoke Variety Show at Mayors Christmas concert each year. I have also just started to learn to play the Ukulele, which is fun!

If Gang Show had an unlimited budget what would you do: Tough question - if money was no object we could afford to have a different venue which would allow for a bigger cast. We could then have more people involved in the show.

What's your most embarrassing moment on and off stage: Offstage - there are way to many to mention and certainly not things I can publish online! You will have to ask me in person. Onstage would probably be mucking up 1 move in a Disco routine in the 2008 show, which Craig never lets me forget. It was also the night the show was being filmed, so you can catch me on DVD doing the wrong move, however I kept smiling!!!
